Puscifer Tickets
The show definitely goes well beyond what people expect from a rock show. Maynard's creative energy does seem endless. Puscifer is basically a multi-media catchall for Maynard various endeavors. He himself calls it a troupe rather than a band. This concert also covers both live and pre-recorded skits as well as some fairly impressive interaction between the performers and the audience with music as centerpiece.
This project also brings in elements from Keenan's other passion. Those elements were also more than balanced by some of Puscifer's more progressive ideas. This passion element specifically includes the stage presentation. Here in this show both Maynard and his current singing partner Carina Round were situated at the back of the stage, with a large black and white television screen placed intentionally in front of the their faces. It seemed an appealing artistic observation on the nature of live performance and media handling of images .This maybe, was just something weird to do. Whatever the purpose, the result was very cool.
This live show was not so much a concert as a fully integrated life experience means like living inside a long form music video. The persons who are just interested in the songs, I would suggest them to stay home and listen to an iPod. It is only for those who longed for a little experimental art. This show will definitely get you on your feet and watching in wonderment.
