Olympics Snowboarding
At Torino, Olympics snowboarding make its third Olympic debut. The game, which first launched at the 1998 Nagano Games, is still ongoing as events are altered and added. For the 2006 Games, a new-fangled event, snowboard cross has been included. There are six Olympics snowboarding events, having men's and women's halfpipe, men's and men's and women's snowboard cross and women's parallel giant slalom.
The new-fangled olympics snowboard cross event has a track made up of diverse sections, including whoops (moguls), banks, kickers, waves, and spines (jumps with 90° angles), with a sequence of blue and red gates and triangular flags pointing towards the course and showing entrances to barriers. One referee scores the consistent moves, another scores amplitude, one scores superiority of rotations, and two points in general impression. For the amplitude score each tactic is given an extra point for each 30 centimeters that the contestant reaches above the edge of the twitter.
The scores for every plan are averaged to conclude the last amplitude score. Falls and other errors lead to inferences. In the equivalent giant slalom, the riders involves challenging runs, and the top 16 men and top 16 women are classified according to their times. |
