Coldplay Concert Tickets

The British band was formed in the late 1990s after its members met at the University College London. Coldplay scored their first Top 40 single “Shiver” and in March 2000 it reached at number 35 on theUK Singles Chart and earned the band their first airplay on MTV. The same year the band released the breakthrough single “Yellow” which shot to number four on the UK Singles Chart and placed Coldplay in public consciousness.

Today the band can brag about their four studio albums and many awards and nominations among which a Mercury Music Prize nomination for „Parachutes” in September 2000, and a few Grammy Awards for their single “Clocks” and for Best Alternative Music Album in 2002 and 2003. In February 2006, Coldplay’s album “X&Y” was honored by the BRIT Awards. Their fans are eagerly expecting the fifth album that the band promised would be ready by December 2009.

What happens when a group of British college students get together in the late 90’s and attempt to make music? Ask the members of Coldplay and they’ll show you. Coldplay played very enthusiastically as result they were able to get the crowd jumping and dancing around .They made an effort to use more than their musical ability to entertain us. When they played ‘Yellow’; they had ten-foot-diameter yellow balloons bouncing around.
