In the year of 1983 the band has been formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin by Kurt Neumann (vocals & electric guitar) and Sam Llanas (vocals & acoustic guitar). In 1985 after the drummer and the bassist has added in the band, then they signed a contract with Slash/Warner Records. At that time the band has been recorded their first album. The band is well liked in the world and a large number of their fans are come to see their performances live on stage. They had several singles in the top 40 "mainstream rock" charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The rocking Bodeans had two top 10 songs in the "Adult contemporary" charts in the mid-1990s. The ' 9th studio album of the band, titled Mr. Sad Clown, was released on April 6, 2010.
